Our children we'll need to fit into the vehicle:
DS1 - almost 5, 41 lbs, Graco Nautilus
DS2 - 19 months, 24 lbs, RF in True Fit or MyRide65
LO on the way - BabyTrend FlexLoc
At least two times/week we also transport various nieces/nephews, and we generally use our Avenue for that...but sometimes have to use their seats (Safety 1st Summit Deluxe which is a BEAST and another seat very similar to the Avenue...dont know what it is off the top of my head). Generally the extra children are RF, but by next year not all of them will be.
So at bare minimum, I need to fit my three children and 1 other plus us two adults...it'd be really nice if I had the option for 2 extra car seats. Ideally I'd like to have my two DS in the back seat next to each other with room for an adult next to them, but not sure that's going to happen in an SUV/crossover.
Oh, and DH is 6'6', and has to have the drivers seat ALL the way back in any vehicle...so that really limits our options behind the drivers seat, esp for RF seats.
So...anything that meets our needs? I like the looks of the Chevy Traverse, but I'm guessing that I'm not going to be able to get enough seats in it when I go try it out in person...
The GMC Acadia is a compact version of Chevy's Traverse, but both models offer three-row seating. Three engines are available in the Acadia, a 193-hp four-cylinder standard in lower. This is one of those hybrid crossovers where the hybrid part is a much bigger piece of the equation than the crossover aspect. The Lexus UX250h is a subcompact with minimal back-seat space and not.
In places, where public transport is not well established, like in small towns, what will you do if you want to go on an excursion? You do not need to cancel your plans. You have the weekend off! You might as well go and bond with your family. After all, in man’s busy life, it is getting harder and harder to build and maintain relationships. A trip together as a family helps seal the bond and compensates for the time that you are not able to spend with your family! If you are worried about how you can afford the second car, you do not need to worry about that at all. A seven seater family car is your answer. It is a passenger car, which can seat (as the name suggests) seven people, at the same time!
